MICHAEL R. AUGUSTINE

Michael R. Augustine (“Mike”) focuses his practice on all aspects of
trusts and estates law, including fiduciary work, estate planning,
administration and estate and trust litigation. Mike has extensive
litigation experience and has participated in over 250 trials relating
to probate estate and trust disputes and multiple jury trials. Mike
currently serves as a court appointed independent fiduciary in a number
of matters where he manages assets in excess of $60 million dollars
including serving as a conservator of the estate and administrator of
the late actor Mickey Rooney. Mike’s other representative matters
include the Gene Kelly Image Trust. In addition, Mike is often retained
and has qualified as an expert witness in fiduciary litigation matters
in Los Angeles, Orange and San Luis Obispo Counties.
Mr. Augustine graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 1970 and Loyola University of Los Angeles School of Law in 1973. After graduating from law school, Mike opened his own practice in Montebello in 1973 and continued as a general practitioner until 1979 when he joined with Frederick J. Seymour to open the practice of Augustine and Seymour. Mike is actively involved in the community and has received a lifetime community college teaching credential and has taught in paralegal programs for over 12 years. Mike is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the TS Alliance Endowment Fund, a non-profit organization. Mike has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer by Super Lawyer Magazine and holds AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell. In his free time, Mr. Augustine enjoys white water rafting with his two daughters, reading, serving as a gourmet chef to his family, and gardening. |
