Frederick J. Seymour’s (“Fred”) practice focuses in the field of trusts and estates, including estate planning, probate and trust administration, as well as serving as a fiduciary in trusts, estates and conservatorships. Since 2000, Fred has also served as a private mediator in disputes involving trusts and estates.
From 1977 through 1979, Fred was a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles during which he served as lead trial counsel in more than 100 jury trials. In 1979, he became one of the two founding partners in the firm of Augustine and Seymour along with Michael R. Augustine, who he originally met as they began their elementary school education in 1953.
Fred is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and served as a Trustee of the Association in 1996-1997. Fred has served multiple terms on the Executive Committee of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He has served as a Mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Probate Department; as Judge Pro Tempore for the Alhambra Municipal Court; and as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission for the City of San Gabriel.
Fred received a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University, Los Angeles in 1970 and a J.D. from Glendale College of Law in 1976. Fred enjoys an AV Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He has presented continuing education classes on probate procedure and proper preparation for mediations.
Fred is now retired and enjoying life with his family in Virginia.
